Seasonal Housekeeper
Chambers Camp & Retreat Center, Inc. is looking for a seasonal housekeeper to start May 9, 2022. $13.20 per hour. Needed 15 – 40 hours per week depending on the needs of the Camp. Effective Cleaners should also be able to stand and move around for long periods of time as they’re regularly on their feet and bending over to clean certain items. Good Cleaners should also be independent and able to complete their tasks each day with little to no supervision
Lifeguard and Aquatics Director   
Chambers Camp & Retreat Center, Inc. is looking for 1 Lifeguard and 1 Aquatics Director for the 2022 season. Dates needed are July 1st – 10th, 18th – 23rd, 26th -30th, and July 31 – August 3rd. Lifeguards will be paid $400 per week and the Aquatics Director will be paid $500 per week. Lifeguards need to be at least 16 years old, have current CPR training and Lifeguard certification. Aquatics Director needs to be at least 21 years old, have 18 weeks pool lifeguarding experience, 12 weeks Children’s Camp experience, or 1 year Aquatics Director experience. The following courses are accepted for the Aquatics Director position:

Accepted Lifeguard Supervision and Management Courses:

American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard Management (LGM) certifications: − LGM is only offered online. In-person testing is required and obtained through ARC Lifeguarding Instructors that are ARC Authorized Providers. − Certification expiration date is based on the LGM certificate, not the in-person testing certificate date. Certifications without an expiration date are not valid. ➢ Lifeguard Management – certifications must be accompanied by a separate certification indicating in-person testing session. ➢ Lifeguarding Instructor ➢ Waterfront Lifeguarding Instructor

American Aquatics Safety Training ➢ Aquatic Supervisor (Lifeguard Management, Pool Activity Leader)

Boy Scouts of America ➢ Aquatics Instructor, BSA

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation ➢ New York State Lifeguard Management

YMCA ➢ Lifeguard Supervisor

**An Aquatics Director may not perform lifeguard duties unless currently certified as a qualified lifeguard, or assess swimming ability unless currently certified as a progressive swimming instructor (see corresponding Fact Sheets available at www.health.ny.gov or from your local health department).
